After participating in dance contests over a period of 10 years beginning her social media career by posting dancing videos on TikTok. In March 2020, she became the most popular creator on the TikTok platform. Khaby Lame surpassed her in July 2022. D'Amelio's voice debut came in the animation of 2020 StarDog TurboCat. She has starred since 2021 in The D'Amelio show which is an Hulu documentary and Charli vs. Dixie, a Snap Original reality series. D'Amelio has been a popular dancer in 2022 and has won Dancing with the Stars thirty-first year along with Mark Ballas.
