Amy Smart has been a model, actress, as well as a former American. Amy Smart was born and raised in California USA began her modelling in Italy. In 1996 she debuted as an actress in the TV movie Her Costly Affair. Her fight to secure the role in Starship Troopers, a film which featured only minor characters, was very intense. This was not easy for Amy as she had to move from modelling into acting. Models aren't considered great actors, so they usually play smaller, less important roles. Yet, somehow Amy was determined to keep going and stepped into bigger roles eventually starting with the TV series The 70s and the film Varsity Blues. In 2005, Amy took as the lead in the romance comedy Just Friends with Ryan Reynolds. The film was a major commercial success, and Amy was finally able to get the success she'd been trying for for more than a decade. Amy was later a star in major film projects such as the Crank Series alongside Jason Statham, and Shameless.
