Ariel Eva Tuadraq Atauchaq Tweto was her birth name at the time she was born. Alya is her younger sister. They were introduced when her father was playing professional hockey in Alaska as a way to draw more attention to the game. He was able to meet and fall in love with her mother, and they eventually joined aviation in Era Alaska. Ariel as well as Alya were raised in Nome, and Nome, Alaska. She was a student at Emerson College before graduating from Chapman University. Ariel's acting career began as a teenager, appearing in the TV series Wipeout.
